Buona Festa della Mamma! This year on Mother’s Day we reflect on the many things our grandmothers and mothers shared with us through the generations. Mother’s Day, like many other recognized days throughout the year, means getting together with family around the table with large quantities of food and wine. Our mothers have been our biggest influences and teachers in the kitchen, passing down our many Italian family traditions. They dedicated Sundays to making homemade meatballs and sauce in anticipation of a large pasta dinner with family. Our mothers wanted us to participate in this tradition since we were young - we stirred the sauce, taste tested, and set the table.
